“Britannia At War”
There will be a DBA Campaign held at the Group North Historical Wargames Club on Sunday 1st of March. The campaign will be structured to allow 5 games of DBA over one day using a simple set of campaign rules and the standard DBA 12 element armies. There will be 4 rounds of basic 12 element games and then (depending on the number of players) 2 x DBA Big Battles as all armies meet (with their allies) to decide the fate of England.
Theme
The campaign is based (loosely) on the Viking incursions and Norman conquests into Saxon lands and the various skirmishes between the Welsh, Scots and Irish over the period (790 -1066 AD), with players taking command of a range of armies to either pillage and plunder or conquer and rule.
The DBA rules used will be “Version 3.0” and army lists to be from “book III”. The basic DBA games are fought with 25mm figures on a 120 x 120 cm board.
The Event
The day will start at 0915 hrs and we plan to be finished before 1700 hrs.
